Our September menu celebrates the end of summer, the nights cooler, fruits ripening in the orchard, squashes appearing in the garden, the vendanges begun.
We start with a welcome drink. This month as our own mirabelles are at their peak, we’re offering a mirabelle and cardamom shrub with local sparkling wine - our mirabelle shrub spritz. This is a light and refreshing aperitif, made to whet the appetite. Alongside this you can snack on homemade labneh and taramasalta, our house focaccia and the last of the summer radishes.
Once gathered around the table you’ll start with a raviolo of squash, with fresh hazelnuts, parmesan, and pickled radish.
For the main course, we’re lighting the fires to serve up sharing platters of grilled dry aged bavette, or marinated halloumi and red onion for vegetarians, Both options are served with a fresh and vibrant chimichurri, roasted fingerling potatoes, grilled courgettes and rainbow slaw.
Rocamadour serves as our cheese course, with homemade seeded crackers and our fig chutney - the perfect accompaniment.
A palate cleanser of frozen chasselas grapes, macerated in Loin de L’Œil sweet wine takes us into dessert, where we round off the meal with a rich and creamy creme brulée served with soft, crumbly, lavender and orange shortbread.
