Introducing Spice Club, by La Table des Mirabelles. This is our winter offering of heat-at-home take away feasts bringing a little bit of spice to our corner of France. Each month we’ll have a new menu featuring one of our favourite cuisines from around the world. All meat and produce will be locally sourced where possible, but the flavours will whisk you away to sunnier climes. For October we chose Indian cuisine, and in November, we’re off to the Caribbean.

Snacks
Saltfish fritters (stamp & go) with curried mango aioli (df)………5€ for three
Irresistibly crispy snacks with salt cod, peppers, tomatoes and caribbean curry powder, served with a fruity curried mango aioli
Vegetable fritters with curried mango aioli (v, df)………5€ for three
The fish-free cousin of stamp & go, these fritters have all the flavour and crunch of the original. Made with carrots, corn, peppers, tomatoes and caribbean curry powder, served with a fruity curried mango aioli

Mains
All mains can be ordered either spicy or mild
Jerk Pork (gf, df)………12€
Cooked low and slow over the indirect heat of the grill, this pork shoulder marinated with a traditional jerk seasoning becomes juicy, tender and incredibly flavourful. Served with a jerk sauce which can be either spicy or mild.
Curry Chicken (gf, df)………10€
Chicken cooked in a vibrant and distinctively caribbean curry sauce featuring thyme, pimento (all spice berries) ginger, and spring onions and of course scotch bonnet chillies for those who order the spicy version, or cooked without if you prefer it mild (gf, df)
Curry Plantain (v, gf, df)………9€
All the flavours of a caribbean curry but featuring ripe plantain, sweet potato, kidney beans and swiss chard. Can be made either spicy or mild (v, gf, df)

Sides
Rice and peas (v, gf, df)………4€
Light and fluffy, fragrant basmati rice cooked with kidney beans, coconut milk, thyme and pimento
Caribbean slaw (v, gf, df)………4€
A fruity and vibrant mayo-free slaw with lime, mango and just a hint of spice
Grilled pineapple salsa (vg, gf)………3€
The perfect accompaniment to smoky jerk pork, this salsa is guaranteed to liven up your taste buds.
Homemade fermented mirabelle hot sauce……...8€
A fruity, and tangy fermented hot sauce made from our very own mirabelles, with scotch bonnet chillies, garlic, ginger and pimento. This sauce is medium-heat and goes perfectly with jerk pork or our fritters.

In our opinion these shorter days and cooler evenings call for vibrant, spice-filled food that’s both comforting and exciting. For our caribbean evening expect bold and spicy flavours, with vibrant and colourful ingredients. All mains can be made either spicy or mild.
Collection is from our place between 16h-19h on Friday 28th November, but the take away is heat-at-home, so you can enjoy it any night you like.
Bookings are essential, and we’ll be accepting orders up to 21h on Wednesday 26th.
